2009馬爺的第二次講座，阿典帶了孩子們來，晚上一起吃飯，小妹劉月清Mamata說有話要跟老大講，於是就自己走向前去，她跟老大說，平常每次練鼓都被家長罵，她說「如果我把你最喜歡的東西從你面前拿走，這樣可以嗎！」，這孩子當時是喊著講出來的，她沒有爆哭，而是含著眼淚，小孩被大人管的委屈模樣。
It was 2009, Mamady’s 2nd visit to Taiwan. Adien and his kids were having dinner together with all of us. Then little girl Mamata told us she needs to speak to Mamady. She then walked toward to Mamady and talks about how her parents stop her every night from practicing Djembe.
“How can they do this? What if I do the same and take their favorite things away in front of their very eyes?”
Her voice was chocked by crying.
老大一把把孩子抓過來抱個滿懷，然後說，妳想要做的事情很好，要繼續打。
Mamady reach out to her and hold her in the arms “Sweety, what you love to do is the right thing to do. Just keep practicing. “
第二天晚上的課程結束之前，阿典希望老大能為這個團體取一個名字，「Gong Go Ba」老師說，「以後只要你們在任何地方的樹下打鼓，都會有曼丁的祖先陪伴你們」，後來許歡說，老大說完之後有一股力量從天而降，是不是真的，我不敢說，但是這群孩子後來成為 「空空把非洲鼓團」，是台灣年輕一代最堅強的陣容。
Before the end of the workshop of the next day, Adien asked if Mamady could possibly consider to name the band of the kids.
“Gong Go Ba” Mamady says.
“From now on, every time you play Djembe under the trees, the ancestors of Manding will be with you”
Elo told me, anobvious energy came from the sky during Mamady’s speech.
I am not sure if this is true, however, the kids carry that name and grew up as the strongest young djembefola in Taiwan.
They rephrase “Gong Go Ba” into “Konkonba” which is more friendly to Taiwanese audience.
